Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | Welcome to our home oc-41. WE hate to see new OC patients come in . THat is just one more victim to add to the list. I had a neckl dissection like a lot did. THey aren't too bad, b ut in all honesty, the pain will stick withj you for awhile. You cab tolerate it like we do and it just is another thing in life then. The posters that above me are very knowledgeable people and can answer a lot of questios for you. If not then I am sure someelse will answer. Just don't shut the door when you come and go in this house. Some of our members are too old and weak to reopen it, LOL and we tend to come and go a lot. Again welcome.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
