Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | Richard doesnt need pain meds to get the PEG tube out. I was the biggest chicken and kept mine longer than I needed it due to the fear of removal. The doc will have him lay down and one big yank and it will be out. The pain is bad for only a couple minutes. Once he stands up he will be amazed at how much better it feels immediately.
