I have had barium a few times and most recently when they were checking the anneurysm. Why can't you swallow it? Does it have to go thru the tube? I never had a tuvbe and don't have any idea of the problems with one. I know I never had to hurry drinking the stuff as long as I got it down.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
