Hi Brian and other,
Last week I had a biopsy of my tongue that had a hard white spot and the doctor just called and said is was my lichen planus changing and no cancer. I have been battling oral licken planus for years now and it has been erosive for at least five years and the second opinion doctor wanted to removed the part that was erosive and the cancer which would have been over half of my tongue but my cancer doctor from Boston said just remove the cancer and i'm not sure what was the right thing so i'm still living with an erosive right side of the tongue. Now that i have been reading more on Lichen plaus i have to wonder if i did the right thing? Does anyone hear know anything about this disease and can the erosion be healed. I'm glad it's not cancer again but this disease still makes me very nervious. please respond and thank you for reading
