Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 61 | When I had my biopsy, they removed my tonsil. Before the surgery, I asked the person scheduling (first of many mistakes) how long I should be expect to be out of work. I was told a day because there might be some soreness. I was out of work a week and should have stayed home longer. I'm sure I was prescribed pain killers.
SCC, right tonsil, T1N0MO, G3, HPV-33 positive, 7 wks IMRT 2/21/07-4/13/07, 48 year old female when diagnosed, non-smoker, weekend wine drinker, tumor and both tonsils removed. Ethyol for 3 weeks; no peg; only minimal longterm side effects
