Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | My oncologist mentioned to me that the data suggests that persons not completing their treatment protocol have a poor prognosis. You have to take the battle to the enemy and fight with all you have got. The treatment will kick your ass to be sure but there are enough long term survivors here to prove that it can be done and that there is life beyond cancer. Don't give up and fight it one day at a time.
