Thanks for sharing such wonderful news and please wish your mom continued good checkups from me.
I personally appreciate the fact that you will continue to be an advocate for early detection. If there is anything I can do to help you along these lines, please feel free to email me. I ask every new patient in my practice if they have ever heard of oral cancer and it astonishes me that around 90% respond that they never heard of it. I'm confident that this will change because of people like you.

Retired Dentist, 59 years old at diagnosis. SCC of the left lateral border of the tongue (Stage I). Partial glossectomy and 30 nodes removed, 4/6/05. Nodes all clear. No chemo no radiation 18 year survivor.
