My mom had her second surgery in a month to remove the cancer from inside her lip. Just to recap, the first surgery was successful but the margins were not clear enough. The cancer was considered high grade so more surgery was needed to gain clearer margins. Thankfully, it was very successful. The second surgery did not show any trace of the cancer. And now they are happy with the margins. We are very relieved.

I am very thankful for all of you here. You made this very hard time much easier for me. When I wasn't sure what to do or what to think, I came here. When I wanted to escape my own issues, I came here. I found myself visiting this forum all the time. And much good has definately come out of it. I have learned so much about oral cancer and early detection and will pass my knowledge on to others who may not be aware of this horrible disease.

My mom has to go back to Memorial Sloan Kettering every 4 months for a check up. So for now I wont be posting much about her but will be checking in from time to time to see how everyone is doing.

Thank you all so much for getting me through this. My prayers are with all of you.

Love Denise
