I too was left tonsil and positive two lymph nodes. Find the best surgeon that you can find for the neck disection. Forgo the generalist and go to the best cancer center for the surgeon that does this everyday. He might be attached to the best radiation oncologist that you can find. If not, find him. If you need any help, I will find out for you from my Docs at Beth Israel in NY. Finding the most experienced will help you live into your 80's and suffer the least side effects.
