Interesting about the class of first year docs. Nothing like a patients perspective..someone who has walked thru the storm. Good luck...I hope it gives even one med student the onus to properly dx oral cancer.

I knew that you had all your treatments at Moffitt and that you saw Trotti as your RO. I was just curious if Trotti is who you consult for you followups and who orders your scans. In other words, to your knowledge does the H & N Clinic at Moffitt have a protocol for this??

We saw Drs. McCaffrey and Trotti initially and while I have the upmost confidence in Dr. McCaffrey, I connected with Dr. Trotti better and it was he who called us with the Tumor Boards summation of Bill's case and he who gave us full confidence that we would be fine receiving treatment with our local RO and MO. Because the local ENT who dx'd and biopsied is the weak link in our journey (insurance provider driven) we chose to go to Moffitt for a second opinion and now for follow-up. I am happy to have them in our court for the "next step."

FOLLOWUP: Now only annual exams. ALL CLEAR!
