I did not eat or have a bowel movement for 37 days and could not get the doctors too excited about it. The Senna did the trick after 3-4 days and I took it as long as I was taking the narcotics.
You may or may not "feel" dehydration. If you can afford it, buy a blood pressure device and check your blood pressure sitting and standing. If it is considerably different (lower when standing) you are dehydrated. If you can't afford it, have the dr's office check it for you. As a rule, divide your weight by 2 and this is the minimum number of ounces per day you need.
This is the roughest time but it will get better BY THE WEEK not by the day.
