Karen, hope you don't feel that this is presumptuous, but if youall haven't started planning the "after passing" things to be dealt with [obiturary, funeral or memorial service, who will call what family and friends, etc.] now is a good time to start that process. If those details are in place, the family can spend some "regrouping time" together without the added burden of having to deal those immediate pressing details.
