Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 794 | Cathy....would you please ask your BIL about how to take the thyroid med.? I have taken it for years, and I have never been told (that I recall) to take it on an empty stomach, nor to avoid taking it with iron and calcium. I hope I haven't been taking it wrong all of these years. I do know that I can't take it in the evening, since it interferes with my sleep. Other than that, I have never had any reaction, exc. that if I take too little, I am sluggish and un-focused.
