Hearing damage can be a side effect of cisplatin. If you do a search on hearing loss, you should get quite a bit of information. I had hearing loss and tinitus after my 2nd dose of cisplatin. They switched me to carboplatin which doesn't caue hearing loss. Hopefully your husband's is wax build up.
