Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 58 | I have taken Salagen (5mg) 4 times a day since day one of treatment. It was effective throughout (though its efficacy did decline) and since my treatment ended (3/15), it has been very effective, so much so that I will often forget a dose during the day. My radiation oncologist wants me to continue taking it through June.

SCC Right Tonsil, T2N1M0, Dx 12/04, Tx 40 radiation (180 rad), 8 Chemo (carbo), Tx ended 3/15/05, Selective neck dissection 5/24/05, 22 nodes, 4 levels, no evidence of metastatic malignancy!!! :-)
