I am 21 months past radiation and I had a very severe sore throat and lost my voice a couple of weeks ago. I am just now really getting over it. For a few days I could barely talk in a whisper. I believe it takes us that have done radiation longer to rebound from a cold, sore throat, etc. Anyone out there correct me if I'm wrong.
Question........does everyone notice a difference in their voice after radiation? Sometimes when I holler it will kind of spook me because it doesn't sound like me.
Tizz, hope it's nothng and that it clears up soon. Mine took two weeks to even begin to feel and sound better.

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.
