Speaking as a former patient, I was CROSS alot. If I did not want to talk about it then I wouldn't. That is until I really began to understand what my caregiver was being put through because of my obstinance and her fears and concerns about what was going on.

You are being a wonderful friend and I think that the fact that you are there for your friend means more to him than you know at the present time. Keep up with the "court jesting" and other normal things that you do with him. I would think he will talk to you about what is happening when it is right for him.
