Hi Gary, I too am on SYNTHROID and will be for the rest of my life. I take 125 mg of it daily. I too had the cold hands and fingers and very tired all the time. The radaition did mine in. I too have gained weight and lost a lot of my hair. So far the dosage I am on seems to be the right one, however it took a long time to get the right one..You are not alone in this. Miss Vicki
