Hi Gary,
I am over 2 years post treatment and started taking synthroid in July. My TSH levels began steadily increasing from about February and reached 6.5 in July after a routine blood test. My ob/gyn sent me to an endocrinologist immediately due to my being pregnant and was prescribed 5mcg of synthoid. I didnt have any symptoms that couldnt be explained by my pregnancy but I believe my numbers are just over the normal range. That may explain why you are asymptomatic. As far as I know, my pregnancy exacerbated the condition, but was going to happen sooner or later. As it was explained to me also, most are on thyroid medication for life if you have hypothyroidism. It's not that bad considering the alternative, and if cost is an issue, synthroid is not that expensive.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday!!
