I had my 17 month post surgery check up today and got the thumbs up! Always surprising and a delight to feel that rush of relief. My husband says that I always sleep so well the night after my doctors appointment.
He looked at the sore under my tongue and said it's a traumatic ulcer. He told me if it gets bigger to come in but other then that he would see me in two months. He also told me (deep breath) NO MORE CHOCOLATE! I just stared at him for about 30 seconds, not believing what I had just heard, lol.
He is a really personable guy. He's attending what he called "possibly the largest conference for ENT's to date" in New York this weekend and he said "lot's of the TOP "booger pickers" in the country will be there". He always makes me laugh when I see him. He wants to start a local support group for Head and Neck Cancer and asked me if he supplied the patients if I would work on getting it going..............of course I said sure I will and added one more thing to my agenda. I love a full agenda, makes me feel so ALIVE.
Take care,
Minnie
