Ironically, the newspaper editor who withdrew the job offer from me yesterday had a glowing story in her paper today about Relay For Life and cancer survivors. The focus was all about how a diagnosis of cancer doesn't have to be a death sentence anymore, etc.

It was tough to read that, knowing deep down that my cancer journey is likely the thing that scared her and her bosses off... I was pretty much over this whole thing until I read that a few minutes ago, then that sinking kicked-in-the-stomach feeling came back...

Sorry, folks, I'll rally... I know God is in control... thanks for letting me vent one more time...


Tongue cancer (SCC), diagnosed Oct. 2003 (T2 N0 M0). Surgery to remove tumor. IMRT Radiation 30x in Dec 2003 - Jan. 2004. Recurrence lymph node - radical neck dissection June 2004. Second round of rad/chemo treatments ended Sept. 2004.
