I am going to suggest you go to the Doc for peace of mind if nothing else. I have found that my neck and throat respond entirely differently to colds and bugs now. Strange "life threatining" pains come and go regularly. I also found that nerves are healing for a long time and I get very screwed up sensations.
That said, I don't ignore or put off anything. Yes I might be a neurotic hypochondriac but I don't mind visiting my Doc.
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
