Has anyone heard about or had experience with extending COBRA? Last night a friend called me and said she had talked to her brother-in-law, who is an insurance guy. He sells mostly to businesses. Anyway, I had previously told her that my fathers COBRA option runs out in May of 2005. She said he told her, that if my father was qualified as disabled by Social Security, he could extend COBRA benefits for another 11 months.
