You wouldn't "tell" them, instead ask few questions like "Mary, we have been friends a long time, I have noticed you seem overwhelmed by all this.." If you can get her to recognise the problem then you can suggest: "Lets find someone that can help you" There are a thousand variations on the choices of words you use. It would be great if you could find some information before so you had it all ready for her to call.
Yes SSDI is social security disability.
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
