I should now be finished with chemo.
One dose was put off because of low neutrophils, last one because of seriously low haemoglobin and now because of low platelets.
Had a 2-unit blood transfusion yesterday.
Am due more 'bloods' on Friday, to---hopefully! be followed by my last chemo--but after these set-backs, aren't getting my hopes too high!
(No reason to, actually, as this is 'palliative', so will just be waiting to die then anyway!!)
Anyone know if the 'ordinary' blood transfusion likely to push my platelet count up, or whether there's anything I can do to help it??
