Putting on a few pounds right now before radiation is a good thing! Most of us lose weight during radiation, some more than others. I lost 65 pounds which I could stand to lose at the time and have put 20 back on in 2 years. So, don't worry about the weight and eat well (not necessarily junk) till radiation begins.
