Most cancers of this type occur in very elderly people and are not detected until to late for any treatment other than palliative can be offered. (ie 80 and above)

It is bit difficult for me to advise to much as here in the UK the health system is different to yours. But you need a comprehensive cancer center preferably with a speciality of esophageal cancer.
