He reported that the tonsil had a small hole in it already and the lymph nodes had shrunk by 0.5 cm. It explained why the ear ache was gone and the sore throat diminished. I know that the worst is yet to come, but good news is always welcomed and needed. So far no nausea at all, knock on wood. Chemo on the 14th was just the docetaxel which produced a side effect of the equivilant of a 2000 pound elephant standing on my sternum. Immediate and correct reaction by the nurse made the elephant light as a fairy and the treatment continued.
SCC lf tonsil. Tx started 03/07/07,39 rads,8 docetaxel & 4 bevacizumab. Re-occured 02/19/08 back of throat. Tx35 rads 8 chemo. Tx started 05/05/08. PEG re-inserted April,2007.
