Hi Max, If you have a lot of problems with the thick phlegm, that alone can cause nausea, especially if you are swallowing lots of it. And some people get anuseated from pain meds too.

I had lots of insomnia while I went through rad and chemo. Partly it may have been because I napped during the day, partly it was because I felt like I had to wake up sometimes every half hour or so to rinse my mouth and spit out gobs and gobs of phlegm. I was also sleeping in kind of a half-raised position with lots of pillows behind my head and upper torse to help me feel like the phlegm wouldn't choke me BUT I think the position also kept me from falling deeply asleep.

Basically I don't think I got deep uninterrupted sleep very much for weeks. And I was also very "sick and tired of being sick and tired" by the end of it all. Hang in there and take one day at a time.....
