Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | Oxycodone (AKA Vicodin) is kind of lightweight for this stage of his treatment - is it really working for him? Oxycontin or Duragesic (AKA Fentanyl) are much more effective for long term pain relief. I used morphine sulfate for breakthrough pain.
