That will DEFINITELY exacerbate the dry mouth problem.  I still use a humidifier dialed in to about 60% and that also helps (along with the constant bottle of water).  I have found also that eating salty food dramatically changes the dry mouth picture at night.  This is so even though I had IMRT and have regained a fair amount of salivary function back.
  I remember vividly those days of waking up with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth and I really hated it.
