My family and I just got back from a week of sailing the Apostle Islands (northern Wisconsin for those of you who aren't Green Bay Packer fans). This is a repeat of a trip we took 2 years ago. I was then 3 months post radiation. Yes you can heal and yes life can go on!
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
