I think that with the absence of continuing dialog we can consider this thread over. NO reply by weeks end and I will close it. I emailed the original poster yesterday and got no reply, explaining that no one wished anything more than to help them. Our board seems to have many thin skins on it these days. If it is us, we should be careful in our wording, though my gut feeling is that this is the most sincerely caring (especially about total strangers) group of people that I have ever had the privilege of knowing.
