They said they could have put one in but it was too close to his heart so they opted to wait. I guess they are going to do a CAT scan and then put it in. They've decided to do this on the same day they're going to do his first chemo and radiation. Is this alright? I was also wondering if everyone receiving treatment is given a case worker. My friend needs someone who he can talk with and will help him through the process. Someone who will advocate for him and can search out answers to his questions. Who on the cancer team plays that role and does every facility have one he can ask for? | | |
