Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,152 | Hi, The first swollen node was under my right chin, came back negative, and disappeared entireley in the 3 weeks. I was walking into dr office for followup whne I discovered a new lump at the base of the neck on the right side. I didn't want to wait 3 weeks for results again. Doc said FNA not always accurate so why don't we do a surgical biopspy and know right away. I had it a few days later and it was positive. A week later I had right neck dissection. All nodes negative except the original.
