Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,384 Likes: 1 | Hello Yan, My dentist "sealed" the wear surfaces of my teeth before I started treatment. In addition, floride treatments help. His dentist should be able to advise him about which brand of floride product may suit him better. Some here use trays for the floride treatment and do it quite frequently. Weekly floride treatment should be ok. I do one once a month. Brushing should be done 3 or more times a day.
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
