Thanks Kirk and Eileen,
Kirk, Don's shoulder is bad too, but the fact that he can't pull his arm back as far actually helps him slow down his backswing for more control! Dr. called it "Therapy!" He got a 41 on the back 9 last week. He use to be a 8 handycap but has "slipped" to a 9. Oh, and I was corrected wink It's not the masters, it's the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits Country Club. You should really go hit a couple balls just for fun. You might be suprised! Eileen, He can't eat or drink anything..the calories have to go in the PEG. I did talk him into one extra can per day for a couple days to see if it brings his strength up some. I fear protein powder or anything other than the formula could clog the tube. Great idea about getting the referral from a Dr. at the hospital where the treatment is. There is one in LaCross, 1 1/2 hours away but we can do that. His daily rad treatments were 2 hours away... (and that didn't work!)We'll be talking to his swallow therapist about it on the 23rd. I wish it was sooner. If he gets a little more impatient, maybe he'll decide to head down there sooner. I can't wait. This is the only hope we've been given. (Although Don was never told how little hope there is)Thanks for all the info. Keep me posted how things are going, and I'll let you know when we start the Vital Stim.
