Like Gary, my husband only had radiation in combination with chemo for his stage III tonsil and floor of mouth cancer. I read the posts here and am very uplifted, but find it frustrating that we seem to be in the minority. I would like to be able to compare notes with those who have not had surgery and how they are doing. This is in no way meant to exclude anyone enduring this disease, but we sometimes feel lost when the treatments weren't the same. I know I tend to wonder whether I can compare the two treatments at all when it comes to prognosis, weight loss, etc. Your thoughts would be so appreciated. My husband is 5 months out of radiation and 6 weeks out of lung surgery. He is still losing weight and will go for days without eating and sleeping around the clock. Can you help me determine if this is normal.
Thank you so much,
Mandi
