I have some more information since my last post. We contacted John's doctors at MDACC orlando. They were both very supportive and asked that we bring in the films and see them. We did so. They both read the films and the oncologist radiologist scoped John. They both concur that he seems to be doing ok and that the CT cannot distinguish tumor from radiation scarring and fibrosis. They feel that what is showing is scarring, swelling and fibrosis. They both agree that the surgeon should do a biopsy. We know we aren't getting any guarantees but they sure were more positive.
Meredith
