I remember while I was in recovery around 7 came around (some students I think) every day. Could not talk at the time due to tracheotomy tube and had to write it down. Will always remember the plastic surgeon saying that the flap looked good every day. It felt like there was me and then there was my flap:-)) At a guess and without reading all the rules I would say you should not mention doctors names but it would be interesting if we had some of the same. My email address should be visible to let me know. On Wednesday morning it will be speech therapy first then the silver nitrate stick. Might ask if I can take some home and do it myself or even if my GP can do it as it seemed simple enough when I had it done on Friday. It
History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma. 14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad. 6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012. bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia 24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
