Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 2,019 | yeah, I recommend an ear thermometer. You don't say where your husband's cancer was but if it was on the oral tongue and he had part of that removed it is hard to get an accurate mouth temp.
