They started the Amofostine in week 2, I was going through chemo at the same time and handled it all until I hit week 6. I think the things that helped the most with keeping that dreaded nausea at bay was the Zofran and staying well hydrated.(completely agree with Stoj & Nelie) Even when the nausea started, it was only a couple times immediately following treatment and then I could doze off, feeling better, (well, at least no nausea) when I would get up. David & Stoj made me laugh about the "little white lies" to my wife about my intake. She would lay into me good about eating and taking fluids into the tube. Make him keep those records but remember, "the scales don't lie". BE THAT MOM FROM HELL/GORILLA....LOL

Tumor found 03/18/13; Partial Glossectomy 03/28/13 left lateral tongue. Nov. 2014; headaches,lump on left side of throat. Radical Neck Dissection 12-17-14; Tumor into nerves/jugular; Surgery successful, IMRTX30 & 7X Erbotux. Scan 06-03-15; NED! 06-02-16; Mets to left Humerus bone and lesion on lungs-here We go again! Never, Ever Give Up!
