Tiffany, welcome to the site. Sorry you needed to find us. A tumor can develop anywhere in the body. I am no expert, some of the folks on this forum are much more knowledgeable and can give you a better technical answer. You have done the right thing, though, to have a dentist look at the situation. For peace of mind, you might also want to locate an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist (ENT) to look at it as well as some dentists are not properly trained to recognise cancer. You could even go to a comprehensive cancer center for diagnosis, but I think you should start where you are, at the dentist. Whatever the result, we are here to help you and will be interested in the result. Just remember what we always say, "It isn't cancer until the pathologist says it is". So try not to worry too much, as it could be many other things, such as infection, hormonal issues from the pregnancy, etc. You will be in my prayers for a clean bill of health and a "no cancer" report.
