If you search and look around on this forum (click search and type in the words) you will find several people your age have asked the same question as you have. Generally the response you will get is that ANY sore or lump, that lasts for more than 2 weeks, should be checked by a Dentist, Oral Surgeon, Ear Nose and Throat Doctor, or any combination of those specialists. In addition a biopsy (small sample) should be sent to a Pathologist for microscopic analisys. You didn't mention if you use tobacco (chew or smoke). Your risk of cancer is fairly low at your age so don't worry too much yet. DO GET IT CHECKED OUT and then take good care of your teeth. You don't get any more than you have know.
