Does anyone know anything about Lung cancer? Can it be cured? They stopped treatment for my mom on Tuesday for the cancer in her neck (chemo / radiation).

The doctor told me that the CT scan shows the cancer in the lungs has increased and that they would be stopping all treatment. On Monday we are meeting with the chemo doc, as this is the only way to treat the lung cancer. I dont know, but either way, he said that this would eventully take my mothers life .... and that there is no cure .. ..

Im kind of at a loss of words .. ..but thats whats been said .. I just want to know .. does any one know any thing about lung cancer, are there any other treatments or medicines? ... i think the type of lung cancer she has is .. Squamous cell carcinomas? ..
