Hi Lee,
I am 36 and in treatment following the removal of a scc tongue tumour (about half of my tongue, free flap graft and now about to begin week 4 of a 6 week radiotherapy/cisplatin combo. So far, so good:) I had a bilateral neckdissectin with two nodes involved on the left. Side effects are just beginnning to kick in with some soreness to my mouth and a little tiredness, but not so bad really. Chemo has been fine, with no side effects so far - I wasn't going to write that in case it tempts fate, but I find it good to hear from people who felt better than they feared!Good Luck and lots of positive thoughts to you and your family. My husband and our 9 yer old daughter have been fantastic and I am being well looked after - I am sure you are too!
