Welcome from another Massachusetts member. I was also a Stage II (over 17 years ago, when I was 39) -- had partial glossectomy and modified neck dissection, followed by radiation. As I understand it, radiation is not always necessary for Stage II cases, but in mine they felt it was strongly advisable because of some of the pathology results. While it was a tough few months, I haven't regretted doing everything possible at the time to go after this disease.
