HI ALL,
I am Cancer free 22 years but as a result i have ORN of the jaw. I got worked up for a fibula flap for my entire mandible last year. After months of testing the plastic surgeon said i was better off without the ELECTIVE MORBID surgery. I agree I dont want to risk my life for a grueling surgery but every day is challenging. I constantly get jaw abscesses and have 2 fistulas on my face because of the degenerating jaw bone. Does anyone know of any other surgery besides the fibula free flap??? I will travel where ever needed. I have been through many HBOT and picc lines for treatment. I also take Trental and Vit E bid for bone growth.
