Sounds like you've done your part by getting in to see the doctors, and now they have a plan of action already set up. All you can do now is wait for the professionals to fix you all up, so about the only bit of advice I can offer at this stage is to try not to spend too much time worrying. Tough to do, but excess worry does nothing to benefit you.
