I'm hoping I do not need this board as I just got over the shock of being diagnosed with Melanoma in July. Stage 1A it was caught early and treated with surgery only. My concern now is that around the time I found the melanoma i noticed a lump on the inside of my cheek which the none of the doctors at that time felt was anything to worry about i put it down to me being paranoid. Well as of Monday this "lump" subcutaneous has grown and a lymph node in my neck is swollen but does not hurt. There is noticable swelling on that side of my face and the top of my lip is numb and tingling on that side. I go see my PCP who is great and he takes one look and says you need an MRI then to calm me down he says it could be nothing but with your history let's play it safe and do the MRI. So I'm scheduled for the MRI after much calling around and begging on my part for an appt for tommorow @ 3:00. The swelling, numbness and tingling feels has happened in only the last week. Can anyone please tell me if they have had any of these symptoms? As with the melanoma I have this sinking feeling in my stomach that it's not good. Thanks for your help. | | |
